The An-2 plane that went missing in Kamchatka on Thursday has been found, and all passengers are alive, Kamchatka Territory Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Lebedev said today.

“The plane has been found, the people are alive, I cannot say what their exact condition is,” Lebedev said on social media, Interfax reports.

The An-2 plane of the Faeravia airline, which was transporting commercial cargo on the Milkovo – Osora route, disappeared on Thursday afternoon in Kamchatka.

There were three people on board, and 160 kilometers from the regional center of Ust-Kamchatsk, at an altitude of 700 meters, the emergency landing signal sounded.

The plane did not arrive at its destination on time, after which a search and rescue operation was launched.

The Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident.

The passenger and two pilots of the An-2 aircraft were transferred to a medical facility in the city of Milkovo, an official representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency said.

“The plane was found at around 5 a.m. Moscow time. Three people who were on board the plane are alive, including two pilots and one passenger, who were evacuated from the crash site,” he said on Telegram.
