Melania Trump, the wife of US President Donald Trump, has confirmed what has long been speculated. In an interview with Fox News, she said that she will not permanently move into the White House during Trump’s second term.
When asked where she would spend most of her time, she replied: “I’ll be in the White House. When I need to be in New York, I’ll be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach. I’ll be in Palm Beach.”
“My priority is to be a mother, a first lady, a wife,” she added. She also referred to her son Barron, who currently lives in New York City, where he attends college, and said she believes Barron will visit the White House. “I will always respect his ‘yes’ or ‘no’, what Barron wants to do, where he wants to be,” she stressed.
Back in September of last year, Melania said that Barron had decided to live in Trump Tower, the family residence in Manhattan, for college. Despite that, he says, there is a room ready for him in the White House where he can stay when he decides to visit his family.
