Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as “Catwoman” due to her numerous plastic surgeries, has died at the age of 84.
The much-talked-about Swiss woman breathed her last while taking a nap in a Paris palace where she was staying with longtime partner Lloyd Klein.
She was often under the media’s scrutiny for her appearance, but also for the large sum of money she received after her divorce from art dealer Alec Wildenstein.
Jocelyn began cosmetic procedures while she was still married to Alec, supposedly to satisfy his preferences. But she continued to change her appearance even after the divorce that made her a billionaire. Namely, the controversial separation after his infidelity brought her over $ 2 billion and a payment of 100 million per year.
Because she loved big cats and kept a lynx herself, she sought to get cat-like eyes with surgeries, which is where the nickname “Cat Woman” comes from. “The lynx has perfect eyes,” she said.
Jocelyn and Alec Wildenstein have two children.
Because the payments stopped a few years after the divorce, Jocelyn went bankrupt.
Before her death, she was with designer Lloyd Klein for many years, and their love was overshadowed on several occasions by allegations of violence.
