Outgoing US President Joe Biden on Wednesday awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a number of prominent people, including politician Hillary Clinton, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, actor Michael J. Fox, singer and humanitarian Bono and actor Denzel Washington. Philanthropist George Soros, whose son accepted the award on his behalf, was among the recipients.
Elon Musk, a close advisor to President-elect Donald Trump, addressed the award on his X profile. First, he called Soros’s award “a travesty,” and then posted a photo montage showing Biden presenting the order to Emperor Palpatine, the villain from Star Wars.
“George Soros looks good here. It’s probably the lighting,” Musk wrote in the post’s description.
