WASHINGTON – The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, announced today that his administration will cancel the student debt for another 55,000 public sector employees.
In this way, the total number of people granted student debt relief under his administration reached almost five million, the White House reported. “Student debt cancellation applies to teachers, nurses, police officers and other public sector employees who have dedicated their lives to giving so much to the communities in which they live.”
They are finally getting the relief they are entitled to under the law,” said Biden.
As he stated, from the first day he was president, he promised that education would be a ticket to enter the middle class, and not an obstacle to the opportunities that arise.
“Thanks to our actions, millions of people across the country will now have the space to start a private business, save for retirement and devote themselves to the realization of life plans that they had to put on hold due to the burden of student debt,” concluded Biden.
