At least 10 people were killed and dozens wounded in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip late last night, local medics said.

Five people were killed and 20 wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, medics said.

In another attack, five journalists were killed when their van was hit in the area of ​​Al-Awda Hospital. The journalists worked for the Hamas-affiliated Al-Quds Al-Youm TV.

Palestinian media and local reporters said the van had media vehicle markings and was being used by journalists covering the situation at the hospital and the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and Israel traded accusations on Monday over the failure of efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement despite progress made in recent days.
