The Russians have a new military drone, they named it “TRUMP”

The Russian Armed Forces are introducing a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called TRUMP (Transport Aviation Multipurpose Platform), but unofficially they call it TRUMP.

The cargo drone is designed to provide transport and logistical support during military operations.

The Army Reconnaissance portal, citing a Russian Telegram channel dedicated to weapons, reports that the drone has completed the design phase and is currently undergoing ground testing, with the first operational test flight planned for April.

Current testing is focused on the drone’s control systems and mechanisms, with engineers refining the design to ensure it meets performance expectations.

The TRAMP is a cargo drone designed to transport cargo over long distances, even in harsh conditions. It reportedly has a modular design, allowing for quick repairs and maintenance in the field. Key components, such as wings, engines, and landing gear, can be replaced on site.

The manufacturers list the following characteristics:

Payload: up to 250 kilograms
Flight range: over 600 kilometers
Cruise speed: 195 kilometers per hour
Maximum flight altitude: 3,000 meters
Cargo capacity: 2,650 liters, with the possibility of parachuting the cargo

The drone also has reinforced landing gear for operations on uneven runways and a system for rescuing the drone and its cargo in case of an emergency.

Further testing and the planned first flight in April will provide a more detailed insight into its operational capabilities.
