Trump yesterday blamed Newsom for not signing an order to fill water tanks, which would have helped extinguish the fire that has engulfed Los Angeles.
At least five people have died in the fires that have engulfed parts of Los Angeles and neighboring Ventura County, prompting the evacuation of more than 130,000 people.
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire in the Los Angeles suburb of Pacific Palisades in the area of the same name has burned at least 15,832 hectares and is still not under control.
The Los Angeles School Board announced that schools will remain closed, and at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) classes will be held online starting yesterday.
