Have Windows 11? Bad news for you…

Microsoft is having problems with its Windows 11 operating system again.

Due to a recently discovered bug, Windows 11 24H2 may not allow you to enjoy games and audio content as intended on certain devices. And this is not the first time something like this has happened. The software giant has paused the release of Windows 11 24H2 several times so far, and there were always different reasons for it.

The latest such decision came after several users reported that game and audio performance deteriorated after the Windows 11 24H2 update, which means that Microsoft will stop offering it for affected devices until the problem is resolved.

As Microsoft Learn points out, the affected PCs with AutoHDR enabled are not displaying quite the right colors during gameplay. Worse, some games may stop responding on their own. But there is a workaround for this. All you have to do is turn off AutoHDR in Settings > System > Display > Graphics.

In fact, if you have already updated your PC to Windows 11 24H2 and don’t want to go back to an older version, the only way to enjoy gaming on your PC is to disable the AutoHDR setting.

But the audio issue is much worse, as there is no solution for it. In another document, Microsoft confirms that it has received complaints that the device’s integrated speakers, Bluetooth speakers, and Bluetooth headphones have stopped working after updating to the new version of Windows 11.

Users have also complained that many applications have failed to recognize these audio devices after the update, and after investigation, the company found that the issue affects devices that contain Dirac Audio with the cridspapo.dll file.

Those who have Dirac Audio software and have not yet updated Windows will not see the 24H2 update until the issue is resolved.
