US President-elect Donald Trump plans to issue an executive order that defines cryptocurrencies as a national priority for America and will allow industry insiders to express their views within the presidential administration, Bloomberg writes, citing anonymous sources.

Trump also plans to form an advisory council on cryptocurrency that will advocate for the industry’s priorities.
The order could include a directive for all government agencies to review their policies on digital assets and possibly pause all litigation involving cryptocurrencies, the sources said.
The creation of a national bitcoin reserve that would include existing government holdings of the world’s largest cryptocurrency is also being considered.
According to analytics firm Arkham, the US government currently holds nearly $20 billion worth of bitcoin, seized as part of various investigations.
